Dear Industry friends,

I wish and sincerely hope that you and family are safe and heathy during the on-
          going health crisis.

It is truly a difficult time for the world and for our country. We know that COVID-
19 has created a deep crisis for all of us and specially the MSME's in plastics
industry who were already struggling before COVID-19 pandemic due to various
systemic changes brought by the Government which though are good in the
long-term, created a lot of short-term pain and monumental effort for many of
         us to deal with it.

We want you to be rest assured that AIPMA leadership has been working very
hard on your behalf to address the issue of economic woes the plastics industry
is facing in this hour of crisis. Please be informed that Government is taking
health of the people and health of the economy very seriously. You would be JAGAT KILLAWALA
pleased to know that AIPMA has had several interactions with senior
government officials, industry leaders, various plastics associations and other
stakeholders on video conference and teleconference. We have been closely
working with government in ensuring that the immediate pain is eased out by
certain policy decisions that the government can take. Many of our
recommendations have been accepted and many more are pending for their
consideration. We strongly hope that these suggestions shall give industry the
relief from this unexpected crisis and will handhold us till the economy
recovers. You can visit https://www.aipma.net/COVID-19/ to know more
about our efforts and latest updates.
I want to really applaud the plastics industry for the massive efforts it has taken
to look after its workers through this period of shutdown. We are very hopeful
that the Government will also do its bit.

The period till the threat of COVID-19 is neutralized would remain challenging
and uncertain. However, for the sake of our country, it is important that all of
you remain mentally strong, physically strong and financially capable because
you are main contributors to the economic rebuilding effort once the COVID-19
threat has been dealt with it.
AIPMA is there for each and every one of you.

          Thanks and best regards,

                                                                           Jagat Killawala
