Brand Owners and take necessary actions for
getting such BO registered on the portal. This
part of EPR obligation, mapped on un-regis-
tered brand owners with EPR obligation under
the rules, will get deduced from the EPR obliga-
tion of the registered producers of plastic pack-
aging.
• On registration of such un-registered Brand
Owners, the EPR Liability for the quantity of
plastic packaging supplied by the Producers of
plastic packaging to them would form part of
BOs EPR Target.
This procedure may be applicable in respect of produc-
ers who get themselves registered on EPR portal till
30th April 2023.
AIPMA have been working closely with industry to understand the difficulties faced by them. Various workshops and
conferences were organized to ease the process of EPR and guide
Half Day EPR Workshop in Gurgaon and Mumbai Office
AIPMA's Environment Committee organised a half-day workshop on the EPR registration process on March 18, 2023,
at the Mumbai headquarters and 21st February, 2023 at Gurgaon Office. The expert speaker of the workshop was Mr.
Shailendra Singh. He gave a detailed and hand on experience of the portal which helped the guests to understand the
EPR registration process. More than 55 representatives from the plastics industry attended the workshop in hybrid
mode, which consisted of both conventional and hybrid formats. It was organized to provide a platform for industry
people to discuss their concerns and doubts about EPR registration.
