Twith a clear message. He is all focused in his endeavors to clean and streamline everything
so that the country continues to be a leader. Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about
various issues ranging from the removal of Article 370, triple talaq, simultaneous elections
to India becoming an open defecation free country. He talked about the economy, and how
the government is looking at infrastructure to drive the economy. He also spoke about India’s

I am sure most of the businesses are talking about the 5 trillion dollar economy and as far as
the Plastic Industry is concerned the investment in infrastructure would be the key for the
Prime Minister since 2014 has made his plan of recycling Plastics very clear. This year also
he has gone ahead and requested everyone to become a part of recycling.

As a matter of fact to set the higher standards he has urged people and I quote “Can we
free India from single-use plastic? The time for implementing such an idea has come. May Mr. Rajiv B.Tolat

The Domestic Plastics Industry should take this in correct spirit and not tweak it for petty
interests. The larger picture is to reduce single use plastic however, one should remember
the thrust remains on recycling the large amount of Plastic so that it could not be litter and
in a manner we have sturdy long-lived roads and as such better infrastructure.

This is one of the earnest attempts made by the government to help the Industry. I feel we
should support this move and help government in developing nitty-gritty’s for developing a
systemic approach towards betterment of the Indian Plastics Industry.
