AIPMA Achieving New Milestones
e are delighted and proud to announce that the 11th edition of the Plastivision India
W2020 held from 16th January to 20th January, 2020 at NSE grounds, Goregoan, Mumbai
was a grand success. An enormous number of visitors and exhibitors participated and visited
the mega event. The amount of business materialized in the event was astounding. The total
exhibition area occupied was 1,10,000+ square meters, 1500+ exhibitors participated in the
event which includes both national and international exhibitors, over 2,30,000 visitors visited
an event, around 150 associations, partners participated. PVI 2020 had different pavilions
such as Recycling, Scrap and Dana bazaar, Industry 4.0, Plastics in Medical, Plasticulture, Solar
Energy, startup pavilion, Job fair and consultant clinic. We are happy to inform that due to
relentless efforts of AIPMA, financial support to 171 Micro and small units was extended by
Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India. We have successfully
concluded the very first India-China B2B meet on 16th January, 2020 which was attended by JAGAT KILLAWALA
a total of 300+ delegate from the India and China. In addition, a prize distribution ceremony
of National essay contest was held in which 2500 entries were received from across India,
from which 12 students were selected as winners.
We are proud to announce that AIPMA has signed a MoU with Innovation & Research Foundation
for setting up 21st Century Innovation, Emerging Technology, Creative Entrepreneur Campus in
Mumbai & Gurgaon. Range of programs at the AIPMA’S AMTEC & EXPLORRA EDUCATION CENTRES
would directly support AIPMA Members as well as Industry (organizations & professionals) and
Community (Students & Specific section of society) at large. The programs are specialized
value-added programs that will result in enhanced skill, competence and provide employment
at national & international level.
On environment front, we are actively carrying various awareness activities. AIPMA is strongly
supporting a plastic Collection drive, an ongoing activity which is not only limited to urban
areas but also in rural areas. We strongly believe that through a collaborated efforts of
industry, government and public we can achieve a goal of Swachh Bharat.
Policy intervention through Technological Up gradation fund has been a long-standing demand
of the sector which will go a long way to address issues related to energy efficiency and
productivity enhancement thus leveraging existing investment of the sector for fueling growth.
With Aim of “Make in India” and “Zero Defect and Zero Effect” in manufacturing, AIPMA has
been relentlessly working and has requested Government of India to provide Technology
Upgradation Fund to the Plastic Processors. This scheme would facilitate augmenting of
investment, productivity, quality, employment, exports and import substitution.
