INTERVIEW
KAPSUN RESOURCES CORPORATION
What according to you is the current scenario of the Plastic Industry in
India?
The Plastic Industry is bound to grow fantastically, but the volatility in raw material
prices is really hurting the industry, the ups and downs, demand and supply,
that’s are rating the orders but this all are some basic problems, otherwise I
think the Plastic Industry is growing well, and it will grow regardless of the target
decided by AIPMA or PlastIndia Foundation. I agree with their growth strategy.
What have been some of your recent innovations? Can you explain its Mr. Ashok Kapoor
commercial success if there? Owner -
The first innovation we performed with hybrid machines, an induction motor Kapsun Resources Corporation
gearbox to charge the refilling of the big large injection molding machines. These
machines are energy savings and itself it is giving the payback in three years.
Secondly, we have innovated the air coolers, which provides the best value that we have launched it in recycle model
(the circular economy). So now, we are innovating lots of new things. Our brand is young but strong, and we have a
network across India, with Jammu to our machines functioning in Eastern India.
We are just venturing in Eastern India, but we are committed to provide excellent service to eastern entrepreneurs and
investors with our injection molding machines.
What are the recent trends in the segment that you are in?
Firstly, we used to import a lot but suddenly there is a large growth in export and example is the toy industry. So now,
we are manufacturing many machines for toy industries.
Recent trends in these segments see the export as a big growth and example is the toy industry. Imports were there.
Now suddenly there is a boom and we are manufacturing a lot of machines for toy industry.
Secondly, the electrical segment and appliances. It is now expanding at a rapid pace. As a result, consumer demand
in that sector is also increasing. As well as the packaging sector, packaging innovations are producing a large demand,
actually saving the material and preserving themselves. So that is another market that is rapidly expanding, and of
course, the low-cost housing and government housing schemes are causing a boom. As well as drinking water and water
transportation. All state governments are now investing big amount in the infrastructure of drainage in water, as well as
gas pipelines.
What do you think is driving the consumption of plastics in India?
Basically the awareness. Example if you see Pharma Industry. You won't believe the quantity of syringes, nobody thought
of blood collections sample hospital. If you go, you never thought that each hospital is going to consume 200 KG's a day.
Small hospital is 200 kg day and ends may be consuming five times a day. So the driving force is automotive industry
lasting close 30 KG now it is more than 300 KG in plastics in automotive vehicle. So when you see in overall it's going to
grow in every segment, it is inevitable magic material. Yes our irresponsibility or bad working of recycling it has spoiled
the reputation.
What is the same about these industries responsibility to. Really bring the back reputation by awareness this requesting
people and the consumer to join the circular economy. We have to learn from economy through US and Europe where
they have really lost a lot of ground, which we should learn from their mistakes.
So as you said that you are a young. Company. We're a toddler, even young. We are just 12 years. All my competitors
are 35-40-50 years. You see the name. Yesterday we got the best all award. So we are a toddler and we are poised to
do something substantial in the years ahead. For sure we are going to do something good because my engineering team
average age is 35 years. Come to my factory, will meet my engineer. They're all young. They want to do other things,
and that's what energy is driving us.
