I
thank members of AIPMA for electing me as President of this prestigious organization.
3ODVWLF ,QGXVWU\ LV WDNLQJ D YHU\ VLJQLÀFDQW SDUW LQ WKH FRQWULEXWLRQ RI WKH SURJUHVV RI RXU
country. It has contributed greatly to different sectors in the country such as Automotive,
Construction, Electronics, Healthcare, Textiles, and FMCG etc. The plastic industry
contributes to almost every daily requirement which is clothing, housing, construction,
furniture, automobiles, household items, agriculture, horticulture, irrigation, packaging,
medical appliances, electronics and electrical items. Plastic Industry grows in the huge
UHJLRQDO GLYHUVLÀFDWLRQ RI ,QGLD :HVWHUQ ,QGLD DFFRXQWV IRU 1RUWKHUQ ,QGLD IRU DQG

Even though Plastic Industry has an enormous growth potential, it still faces immense JAGAT KILLAWALA

going through a serious challenge and churning. These are testing times for the industry.

For AIPMA, partnership with Government has always been a central priority as we believe
that industry is a key player in national development. As economic reforms open up the space

Chemicals & Fertilizers, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Micro Small and
Medium Enterprises, Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change for creating conducive
