Srichakra Selects Lindner Washing Lines
richakra Polyplast (India) Pvt Ltd has se-
lected two Lindner Washtech washing
Slines for their new greenfield PCR recy-
cling project. This major setup aims to transform
post-consumer films and rigid plastics into high-
quality recyclates, helping brands meet sustain-
ability and Extended Producer Responsibility
(EPR) goal. Two dedicated processing lines are
further tailored specifically for the challenges of
post-consumer recycled (PCR) films and rigids.
This greenfield facility complements Srichakra’s
existing state-of-the-art recycling operations,
significantly scaling their output of globally com-
pliant polymers. The systems are designed to
help Srichakra produce premium recyclates for
demanding packaging applications. Film and rig-
id plastics present different technical challenges,
from lightweight, contaminated flexible packag-
ing to mixed rigid streams containing labels, clo-
sures and residues. Effective washing and prep-
aration are critical to producing cleaner flakes
and more consistent feedstock. “Choosing the
right technology partner is critical for a project
of this scale,” said Ravindra Venkata Paruchuri,
co-founder and managing director of Srichakra
Polyplast. He said Srichakra selected Lindner

Washtech after a technical and commercial eval-
uation because of its technology, process exper-
tise and ability to deliver premium-quality recy-
clates. Lindner said its Indian team will
support the project through execution,
technical assistance and after-sales
service. Srichakra Polyplast operates
India’s first food-grade rPET recycling
facility and is one of the region’s larg-
est producers of food-grade rPET and
rHDPE. The company recycles over
100,000 tonnes of plastic waste yearly,
supplying recyclate to beverage, FMCG
and consumer brands seeking to re-
duce virgin resin use.
Chemco Receives FSSAI Approval to
produce Food-grade rPET
Chemco Group has secured approval
from the Food Safety and Standards Authority
of India (FSSAI) to produce food-grade recy-
cled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET) resin for
food-contact use under the 2018 Food Safety
& Standards (Packaging) Regulations. Chemco
Group director Vaibhav Saraogi said “Receiv-
ing FSSAI authorisation for food-grade rPET is
an important milestone not only for Chemco but
