CB&I awarded contract for a Gravita India starts commercial
grassroots ethylene complex in production at 6,000 mtpa at

B&I has been awarded a technology contract by Shurtan ravita India started commercial production of
CGas Chemical Complex LLC (SGCC) for a grassroots Gwashed polypropylene by installing new automated
eco-friendly washing line having annual capacity of 6,000
mtpa at its existing recycling unit situated in Jaipur. An
investment of approximately Rs 1.5 crore has been made
for procuring and commissioning of this plant which is
invested from internal accruals.
The company said ini ts filing that it has started
commercial production of washed polypropylene by
installing new automated eco-friendly washing line having
annual capacity of 6,000 MTPA at its existing recycling
unit situated in Jaipur. Gravita India shares gained 4
percent intraday Tuesday after the company started
commercial production of polypropylene. It has made
investment of approximately Rs 1.5 crore for procuring
and commissioning of this plant which is invested from
internal accurals.

scope of work includes the license and basic engineering
of an ethylene unit, which will use four proprietary SRT
heaters, a Hexene-1 unit and a polypropylene unit. The
Hexene-1 unit will use CB&I's Comonomer Production
Technology for the production of Hexene-1 from low-cost
C4s, and the polypropylene unit will use CB&I's Novolen®
gas-phase polypropylene technology for the production of
full range polypropylene products.

SGCC's complex," said Daniel M. McCarthy, CB&I's Executive
Vice President of Technology.
