Dear Members,
After getting a good time in interacting and collaborating the Chinese market in Chinaplas
2017 Exhibition, we are back with full enthusiasm.

National Green Tribunal (NGT) has given its judgment recently on 26th May, 2017 in the
Jan Sahyog Manch Case (lead in PVC Pipes); wherein it is stated that there are no scientific
evidence sufficient enough to claim and confirm the potential adverse health effect due to
presence of lead in water flowing through PVC Pipes and has advised and directed to take the
necessary steps to examine the desired standard needs expeditiously on scientific grounds
by the MoEF&CC, based on the environmental conditions.
On the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June, AIPMA along with Mr. Afroz Shah
and the team of Being Ocean Foundation, Celebrities, Social Activists and other volunteers
came forward to take the Versova Beach clean-up drive to another level and planted trees
to turn the beach into Coconut Lagoon.
The Iplex’2017 show at Chennai showed up 40000+ visitors giving a boost to the South Show HAREN SANGHAVI
and its exhibitors got good business potentials. The South team had organised the Iplex 2017
show very well and systematically.

As everyone is aware that Hon’ble Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley will inaugurate the
function of Implementation of GST on the evening of 30th June and 1st July in New Delhi. It
will be a major turning point for economy and a fiscal policy tool to shape economic future
of India in which Plastics industry wants to support Government Policy & make India stronger.
However, it needs to be little fine-tuned to make Plastics industry grow & serve India in a
better way. AIPMA has already taken necessary initiatives in this direction in conjunction
with all leading associations of India. Necessary representations and facts have been shared
with the GST Council and various Ministries.

We will keep Positive Attitude, Perform to Serve & Focus on growth of industry.

We all of us are looking forward to successful implementation of GST.
