IPMA and Keshav Srusht during the month of April – May
A2021 covered 57 villages in its Plastic Waste Collection
Drive, each village having a pick up facility for the plastic
waste to be collected.
In this waste collection drive a total of 960 kg plastic waste
was collected. While 160 kg Plastics waste was collected
from Uttan village, 800 kg Plastics waste was collected
from Wada area. Due to lockdown the consumption of
plastic has also come down and hence littering is reduced.
In certain villages in Bhayander area movement is
restricted and hence, plastic collection activity could not
be carried out.
They are now exploring the possibility to start a paver
block unit (from plastic waste). This initiative is creating
more and more awareness among the villagers in making
compliant model villages.
AIPMA and Keshav Srushti along with a team and supporters
together will make this project a successful one.
