Address by Shri Arvind Mehta- Chairman, AIPMA Governing Council & Export Study Cell

r. Arvind Mehta highlighted Gujarat’s pivotal role in India’s polymer revolution and stressed
that despite having over 50,000 manufacturers, India commands only 1.1% of the USD 1,300
Mbillion global plastics trade. He reiterated AIPMA’s mission to quadruple exports in three
years, calling it essential for creating jobs, livelihoods, and global recognition. Urging industry leaders,
policymakers, and entrepreneurs to be torchbearers of this movement, he affirmed that India is ready
not just to participate but to lead in global trade.

performance and the plastics sector’s contribution to global trade. He stressed the need to
Mleverage FTAs, strengthen brand India, and actively participate in international trade fairs to
boost market access and competitiveness.

r. Rahul Singh, Joint DGFT, in his address, emphasized the government’s commitment to fa-
cilitating exports through policy support and trade facilitation measures. He highlighted DGFT
Dinitiatives aimed at simplifying procedures, expanding market access, and encouraging ex-
porters to leverage new opportunities in global trade.
