and shared that it has already signed 23 agreements with various industries, including three Indian
ventures, and nine projects slated to begin production by December 2025.

As part of this collaboration, both sides proposed organizing a webinar to further explain Oman’s plas-
tics industry ecosystem, material segments, and business potential.

The Indian Plastics Industry:

India’s plastics industry is one of the fastest-growing in the world, contributing significantly to manu-
facturing, exports, and employment. With cutting-edge technology adoption, sustainable practices,
and a large skilled workforce, India has established itself as a global hub for plastics processing, serv-
ing diverse sectors such as packaging, automotive, healthcare, and construction.

The Oman Plastics Industry:

Oman is emerging as a strong regional player in the plastics and petrochemicals sector, supported
by abundant raw material resources, strategic location, and investor-friendly policies. The country is
actively working to attract converters and downstream industries to create a competitive and export-
oriented plastics ecosystem.
Benefits of the MoU:

The signing of this MoU will foster a win–win partnership.
♦ For India, it creates access to Oman’s growing market, encouraging Indian converters, processors,
and technology providers to expand overseas.

♦ For Oman, it ensures stronger collaborations, reduced imports, increased exports, and opportuni-
ties to leverage India’s technical expertise and manpower.

Speaking on the occasion, the Oman delegation remarked: “This MoU with AIPMA is only the begin-
ning. We look forward to working hand in hand with Indian partners to improve the plastics industry
and business landscape in both countries.”

The MoU signifies a forward-looking partnership that will boost trade, strengthen innovation, and ac-
celerate sustainable growth in the plastics sector, further deepening the ties between India and Oman.
