Dear Industry Friends and Colleagues,
I like to use this final message as President of 2021 – 2022 and put forward my contribution and pen
down the work done, I was fortunate to get an opportunity to be President of AIPMA in 2021-2022 and
be useful part of 76 year long history and uphold the legacy of AIPMA in the Indian Plastics Industry.
My strength were my strong team of Office Bearers, team of Mr. Mayur D. Shah – Senior Vice President,
Mr. Manish Dedhia – Vice President Finance, Mr. L. K. Singh – Vice President North, Mr. Ashok
Agarwal – Vice President East, Mr. Anil Reddy V. – Vice President South, Mr. Manoj R. Shah – Vice
President West and Mr. Chandrakant Turakhia – Imm. Past President and guidance and mentorship of
Governing Council Chairman Mr. Arvind Mehta ji kept us powering ahead in right direction & pace.
Special Mention of two Past Presidents Dr. Asutosh Gor and Mr. Chandrakant Turakhia – Imm. Past
President who stood by my side at all times and Mr. Hiten Bheda for putting his efforts and sharing his
wisdom which add value in events and skilling and environment portfolios.
Looking back at my tenure, I was trying to identify the 8 topmost achievements of this team of Office
Bearers in 2021 and 2022 with Mr. Kishore Sampat as AIPMA President:-
1. The relationship with our parent ministry DCPC and other ministries was strengthened and we were
fortunate to have Madam Arti Ahuja, Secretary, DCPC personally visiting AIPMA and AMTEC
and leading the All Association’s Meet to discuss the growth of the Indian Plastics Industry.
2. During this tenure, the inauguration of AMTEC Product Design Lab with Siemens as Knowledge
Partner and Technology Demonstration Centre of 3D printing with 3D system as Knowledge
Partner on 22nd June 2022 at our Centre of Excellence in AMTEC was done successfully.
3. For the first time a mega conference “International Summit on Plastics Recycling & Waste
Management” on 4th & 5th March, 2022, at Hotel The Lalit, Delhi was co-organized with MSME
Ministry, Government of India with grandeur and at a scale never seen in the past. Along with the
above mega conference other seven events were conducted in different cities list of which follows.
4. For the first time, AIPMA’S AMTEC Innovation Awards was launched for the Plastics Industry with
unique categories to showcase the strength of Indian Plastics Industry and encourage innovations
and Skill Development Vertical & Activities were commenced.
5. PR, Media Management and Mass Awareness were conducted with full strength to counter SUP
Ban and ensure minimal pain in the transition to the Industry and bridge policy makers, Industry
members and other regional associations towards a common goal.
6. Testing Services were launched for first time in AIPMA by signing a MOU.
7. “Azadi ka Swarn Mahotsav” celebrations i.e. 75 years of independence was celebrated with full
enthusiasm and “Swach Samudra Surakshi Samudra” project was executed with more than 15000
volunteers were guided by AIPMA environment team and was noticed and appreciated by
government.
8. For Business Growth “Plastic Ki Charcha” and “AIPMA’s PlasConnect” were launched.
Above mentioned Eight topmost achievements of this Office Bearers Team under my leadership as the
President.
• Eight Physical Conferences were held across various cities
• For first time Skill Development vertical was commenced under leadership of Mr. Hiten Bheda as
Chairman with dedicated team and following are achievements:-
1. Order of Haryana Government for RPL for 5000 professional and short term training Program
for 150 professional was started.
2. AIPMA got seat in governing Council of RPCPC Skill development council.
3. AIPMA got registration as training Partner with SKILL INDIA of NSDC.
