AIPMA AT WORK

The first Growth enabler session on Emerging Sectoral Business Opportunities for Plastic Sector was very
well chaired by Ms. Sudha Keshari, Additional Development Commissioner - DC MSME, Govt. of India. Among the
panellist was Mr. Arvind Mehta, Chairman, AIPMA’s AMTEC presented his views on the current trends in the plastic
industry and AIPMA’s vision for near future. Also, International experts Mr. Piyananda P. Perera, Vice President, The
Plastics & Rubber Institute of Sri Lanka (PRISL), Srilanka and Mr. Md. Enamul Haque, Director, Bangladesh Plastic
Goods Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BPGMEA), Bangladesh were a part of this very informative session
shared the Business opportunities for the Indian Plastic Industry in Sri Lanka and Bangladesh respectively. There was an
overwhelming response by the delegates and they were provided opportunities to ask questions, which were very-well
answered by the expert panellists.

Second Growth Enabler Session Finance Management for MSME’s in Plastic Industry was highly awaited and also
appreciated by the audience which included established industry players and young entrepreneurs as finance management
plays a vital role in the growth and development of an individual thus contributing to the growth of the sector and
country as a whole. The session was chaired by an industry giant with dynamic personality Mr. Manish Dhedia, Senior
Vice President, AIPMA. Among the panellist were Mr. Pankaj Tibrewal, Senior Executive Vice President and Fund
Manager, Kotak, Ms. Lakshmi Ravindran, COO, Invoicemart, Mr. Rajan Raje, Chief Executive Officer, Nichem Solutions,
Mr. Ashok Barat, Founder, Merx Business Advisor LLP, Mr. Rajesh Dubey, Partner, SME BOTS LLP and Mr. Vikrant
Musale, Key Account Manager, The Tata Power Co. Ltd. delivered their views and also enthusiastically answered the
questions from the audience. Day 1 of the conference was concluded by Vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Deepak
Ballani, Director General, AIPMA.
