AIPMA AT WORKT WORK

AIPMA delegation led by Shri Mayur D Shah - President, Shri Arvind Mehta- Governing Council along
with Shri Hiten Bheda, Environment Committee Chairman, Dr Ashutosh Gor, Co chairman Plastivision
2023 and Shri Deepak Ballani, Director General met Shri Bhupendra Yadav, Hon’ble Minister of Envi-
ronment, Forest and Climate Change, GOI and Shri Mansukh Mandaviya, Hon’ble Minister of Chemicals
and Fertilisers, GOI on 31st Jan 2023. The meeting was to discuss on four major issues concerning EPR
which were -
1. Exemption of Micro and Small producers from EPR
2. Exemption of Rigid plastics packaging producers from EPR
3. Simplification of EPR Registration process and portal
4. Decriminalisation of Section 5 of Environment Act. Meeting was very positive. We are thankful to Hon’ble Min-
isters for their patient hearing and assurance of favourable outcome.
