Greetings!!
AIPMA Job Fair 2023 concluded successfully organised on 24th June 2023 with an exceptional
footfall of candidates and companies. The concept was to address the employment issue of
the industry and we are glad to inform that the stats were very positive and fruitful for the
employers as well as the candidates.
Thank you for supporting us, we will make sure to provide our services and put best to the
industry.
On the front of new developments in the machinery, the injection moulding industry is seeing
a trend towards the use of high-performance materials that are designed to meet specific
performance requirements, such as high strength or heat resistance.
There are few new developments in this process like Injection moulding with structural foam
allows for gas-assisted moulding to form larger panels with excellent durability, strength and
impact resistance. In addition to increased strength, injection moulded parts with structural
foam can be up to 15% lighter than similar parts from traditional injection moulding.
Another new development in injection moulding machines is the implementation of Industry
4.0 technologies. These machines are now equipped with sensors, connectivity, and advanced
software that enable real-time monitoring and analysis of the injection moulding process.
This connectivity allows for predictive maintenance, as the machine can detect and anticipate
potential issues before they lead to downtime or quality problems. It also enables remote access
to the machine, allowing operators to monitor and control the process from anywhere.
Furthermore, the integration of data analytics and machine learning algorithms into injection
moulding machines provides valuable insights and optimization opportunities. These algorithms
can analyze large amounts of data to identify patterns, optimize process parameters, and
minimize waste and energy consumption.
One more new development is the use of robotics and automation in injection moulding
machines. Robotic arms can be integrated into the machine, enabling automation of repetitive
tasks such as part removal and insertion, reducing labour costs and improving efficiency.
Additionally, advancements in material and mould design have expanded the capabilities of
injection moulding machines. For example, the development of multi-material injection moulding
allows for the production of complex parts with different materials in a single process. This
opens up new possibilities for designing innovative and lightweight products.
Overall, these developments in injection moulding machines aim to improve efficiency, quality,
and flexibility in the manufacturing process, ultimately driving innovation and reducing costs.
2nd Technology Conference for Growth of Plastic Industry was organized on 7th July,
2023 at The Hotel Lalit, Mumbai. This conference was attended by more than 450+ plastics
industries including senior government officials, visionaries of the industry, researchers and
entrepreneurs. The conference was addressed virtually through Video conferencing by Hon’ble
Minister of Commerce and Industry Shri. Piyush Goyal as a chief guest. The conference was a
great success with his presence by his vision and motivation about the theme of Plastic Import
substitution.
Our upcoming conferences are – 28th July in Ahmedabad and 10th August in Bangalore, looking
at the interest generated in previous conferences, people are inclined towards learning the
import substitution procedure. The coming conferences are also going to be a successful and
a large event which will surely provide knowledge on the import substitution to the industry
people.
