FROM THE EDITOR'S PEN
The successful conclusion of the 2nd Global Conclave on Plastics Recycling &
Sustainability (GCPRS), held from 17th to 20th June 2025, marks yet another
milestone in AIPMA’s unwavering commitment to shaping the future of sustainable
plastics. With an overwhelming response from stakeholders, exhibitors, thought
leaders, and policymakers, this edition of GCPRS not only reinforced the urgent
need for circular economy practices but also offered concrete platforms for
collaborations, innovations, and business growth in the recycling segment.
Over the four days, GCPRS served as a confluence of ideas and action, bringing
together the brightest minds in plastics recycling, environmental sustainability,
and waste management. From showcasing cutting-edge recycling technologies
to hosting the Sustainability Forum on the topics such as Extended Producer
Responsibility (EPR), waste segregation, and alternative materials-this exhibition
has proven instrumental in transforming conversations into tangible industrial
impact.
India’s plastics recycling industry is at a critical inflection point. With growing
environmental consciousness, regulatory support, and increasing consumer
awareness, the scope for innovation and scale in recycling is greater than ever
before. GCPRS is helping bridge the knowledge gap and driving investments
into this high-potential sector. It is giving visibility to small and mid-size recyclers,
empowering startups with exposure, and enabling industry veterans to diversify
into greener avenues.
As the world looks towards India as a manufacturing and innovation hub, the Indian
plastics industry is poised for a global boom. Our scale, raw material advantage,
skilled workforce, and policy reforms are setting the stage for rapid international
expansion-especially in sustainable plastics, biodegradable alternatives, and
recycled product lines. GCPRS is not just an event-it is an ecosystem builder that
will define how Indian plastics evolve in the coming decade.
We thank all the participants, partners, and supporters for making the 2nd GCPRS
a grand success.
Let us continue to drive sustainable change and make India a global beacon of
responsible plastic production, consumption and recycling.
