AIPMA AT WORK






          Interactive Workshop on “Plastics Waste Management and Extended Producer Responsi-
          bility (EPR)” on 8th June 2022, Hyderabad, Telangana


         An Interactive workshop on “Plastic Plastics Waste Management and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)” was organized
         by  e All India Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA) and Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Plastics Manufacturers
         Association (TAAPMA) at  e Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Hyderabad, Telangana on
         8th June 2022.
         Sri B.V. Badragirish Senior Environment Engineer Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) was the Chief Guest
         of the Event.

         Dignitaries from AIPMA - Mr. Anil Reddy V. – Vice President, South Zone, Mr. Hiten Bheda – Chairman Environment
         Committee, Mr. Shailendra Singh – Member Environment Committee, and Mr. Deepak Ballani – Director General, & from
         TAAPMA – Mr. Vimlesh Gupta – President, Mr. Meela Ravi Shankar – Vice President, Mr. Arun Lahoti - Hon. Secretary,
         Mr. B. L. Bhandari – Past President and Mr. Kamalesh Gupta – Member highlighted about the event.
         Mr. Hiten Bheda emphasized that plastics industry is at the growth path and we have to follow the rules laid by the
         Government for the Plastics Waste Management and EPR as life without Plastics is not possible as it is used for food and
         packaging purpose.
         Mr. Vimlesh Gupta explained on the registration part of EPR and it is mandatory for all   to register on the EPR Portal.

         Mr. Anil Reddy V. informed that AIPMA is working with the Government and have made the registration procedure easier.
         He also said that an Environment Committee Help Desk is created in AIPMA’s Mumbai O ce where the industry can get
         the guidance on the registration procedure.

          e workshop was well attended and the audience had a great experience in understanding the new EPR Policy and PWM
         Rules.
