Plastics - The Savior
onwoven polypropylene has never been so popular, Thanks to the N95 mask. A more
Nspecialized mask, known as an N95 respirator, can protect against the new corona virus,
also called SARS-CoV-2. The respirator is thicker than a surgical mask. An N95 respirator face
mask removes particles from the air that are breathed through it. These respirators filter out
at least 95 percent of very small (0.3 micron) particles. These masks arecapable of filtering
out all types of particles, including bacteria and viruses. Unlike N95s, other face masks are
loose-fitting and provide only barrier protection against droplets, including large respiratory
particles.
Also the regular surgical masks are not advisable because surgical masks aren't fitted or
sealed, they leave gaps around the mouth, “so you're not filtering all of the air that comes
in. Moreover the industrial fabric is a critical component of the sophisticated face masks that
protect medical workers from the new corona virus.
The nonwoven polypropylene is the critical component of protective masks in controlling
and avoiding the widespread of the epidemic such as corona virus that has brought countries Mr. Rajiv B.Tolat
world over to a halt, with 'Businesses' collapsing its a double whammy.
On a lighter note all of us have read about how passengers flying with an airways cover
themselves in plastic to avoid corona virus though a bit challenging but it was all across the
social media. The passengers on board a flight in Australia wraped themselves in plastic sheets
only depicts how scared people are world over since the virus outbreak in December and its
only plastic that comes to a rescue.
Plastics has been helping saving human lives time and again. Be it the corona virus or deluge
across the country during the monsoon 2019 and if everyone remembers it was only because
of Plastics the government could help millions of Indians to survive be it the food packets or
water pouches , it was all plastics that helped everyone.
Let’s respect the wonderful material-Plastics for time and again it has helped in saving
human life world over.
