Greetings from Team AIPMA!!
As a part of AIPMA’s services to the industry, we are glad to inform you that we are organizing
a JOB & CAREER FAIR on 24th JUNE 2023 striving to assist the Industry and Job Seekers to find
a perfect match.
Needless to add that this platform of AIPMA is a great opportunity not to be missed by the
organizations as well as those looking for opportunities to work. We are in contact with leading
Technical and Management Institutes in Maharashtra who will be deputing various categories of
candidates for interview.
It is going to be a mega event which will be addressing employment issues in the Industry. For
further information, you can connect with our team at jobfair@aipma.net.
As I have talked about in the previous edition, the initiative of AIPMA’s AMTEC “Technology
Conference for Growth of Plastic Industry” is going to start from this month. The main objective
of the conference is to help the industry in import substitution and export increase thereby
helping them to manufacture ‘Make in India – Make for the World’ plastic products. The agenda of
the conference is to empower the industry with the necessary tools, technologies, raw material
selection, and know-how to manufacture high quality plastics products. This conference would
aim to highlight emerging business opportunities in the area of plastics value added products.
Emphasis would be given on more than 500 identified plastic products under chapter 39 (Hs
code 3916-3926) that are being imported in large quantity. Sessions on business opportunities
due to import substitution of Plastic Goods and export increase, advancement in Raw material
and polymer technologies, Technology innovation in plastic processing machinery, automation
and processing technologies & Industry 4.0: How AI and Smart Technologies influence plastics
manufacturing would be organized during the conference. Major benefit because of business
arising out of import substitution and export increase would be to MSME’s as they constitute
95% of the industry.
On the scenario of the Indian plastic industry we are going to witness some changes and new
incomings like
Expansion of existing manufacturing facilities that will be crucial for the Indian plastic industry
to meet the upsurge in demand for plastic products which could involve modernizing existing
production lines, adding new production lines, and creating new production capacities.
Investing in R&D to keep pace with the changing global trends which includes investing in
developing new materials and technologies for the production of plastic products, such as
bioplastics.
To focus on increasing recycling and reusing plastic waste that could involve investing in
state-of-the-art recycling facilities and encouraging the public to use more recycled plastic
products and
Enhancing Quality Control to focus on enhancing measures, this could involve investing
in modern testing and inspection facilities and introducing quality standards for plastic
products.
Working on these incomings would lead Indian Plastic industry to become an integral part of the
global plastics value chain. The industry should strive to become a knowledge-driven, innovative,
and technologically advanced sector that caters to the needs of a wide range of customers and
should aim to maximize value addition, reduce the cost of production, and develop innovative
products.
Thanking you,
Mayur D. Shah
