          Green India Initiative Program from 15  – 24  October, 2018

          at Bhayander



             IPMA under the leadership of Chairman Environment Committee Mr. Hiten Bheda undertakes several activities for
          Aawareness on Plastics and how to Reuse, Recycle, Recover and Reclaim.

          Keshav Srushti is an NGO located in Bhayander engaged in social service projects within an integrated development,
          and had organized a “Green India Initiative Program from 15th – 24th October, 2018.
          Mr. Kishore Sampat – Vice President West attended this program as a Chief Guest with Ms. Dimple Mehta – Mayor, Mira
          Bhayandar Municipal Corporation.
          AIPMA participated in the project at Keshav Srushti for “Green India Initiative Program” with Mira Bhayandar Municipal
          Corporation wherein 2500 students from Mira Bhayander Municipal schools participated in the waste management
          sessions. Following topics were covered:
          •   How to segregate waste,
          •   Making compost from the biomass,

          •   Convert kitchen waste into compost,
          •   Paper recycling,
          •   Plastic recycling,

          A live demo of converting PET bottles into fiber were shown during the session. AIPMA presented a short film on waste
          segregation, recycling, advantage of plastics with a motto to ‘’Stop littering’’.

          Students showed keen interest to understand the facts about plastics, its advantages and disposal. They actively
          participated in the program with great enthusiasm.
