P. 7
I write this final message as a president of AIPMA with full optimism and confidence. I am convinced
about the growth and the potential of the Indian Plastic Industry.
Lately, I met several raw material manufacturers and I am glad to inform you all that within 24
months, new capacities will be coming in for polypropylene and other polymers from IOC, HMEL
and other manufacturers. It is the fact we need to recognise that we are dependent on Hydrocarbons
on imports but with the government focus, we are confident that we will be Atmanirbhar in few
years as several steps have taken.
It is a right time and an opportunity waiting for the Indian Plastic Industry to scale up our capability
and create mass production capacities to meet the demand of Indian Consumers and export market.
Looking at the picture, going ahead within the next 5 years, Industry will have a totally different
structure which would need mass production of quality products meeting International standards,
environment friendly practices with end of life and meeting consumer preferences. The companies,
which will be able to meet and perform all these four aspects, shall be the winner.
Having Interaction with various policymakers, stakeholders and industry leaders, It is felt that there
is going to be a boom in finished products of engineering plastics, recycling, electric vehicles (EV),
solar energy and items which will aid Artificial Intelligence and Automations. The prospects are very
promising and we need to gear ourselves to take the advantage of this opportunity.
To fulfill opportunity one of the important ingredient would be testing services for which I am glad
to inform you that AIPMA has sign the MOU with “Interteck” , Industry members can visit our
website (https://www.amtecedu.org/) and register their assignments to get a competitive rate and
private slots to get their testing done.
I am also glad to inform you that our AIPMA’s AMTEC will soon be receiving the recognition
from NSDC and all over programs will be recognize and cater with the skill India logo on it. This
elevates and recognises our efforts and services in the skill development vertical, the CSR activities of
AIPMA also supports the skill development verticals and supporting the candidates who are lacking
financially.
AIPMA is also glad and fortunate that AIPMA’s president is invited on the National Advisory Board
of CIPET as well as in the Road Map Committee and the inputs and suggestions given by AIPMA
are taken in the highest order to build the future of Indian Plastic Industry.
My details of activities and the work done during this tenure was already printed in the previous
edition, also in the 76th Annual Report.
I wish to end here and conclude, Thanking you all for the support and co-operation. I feel fortunate
to be the small part of this organization AIPMA having a strong legacy and having contributed in
the best possible manner. Looking forward to support Indian Plastic Industry and AIPMA at all
time.
Thanking you,
Kishore P. Sampat
