Followed by the Lamp Lighting which set up the positive spirit, AIPMA delegation led by President Mr. Mayur
D. Shah felicitated the dignitaries on the dais. The All India Plastics Manufacturers Association (AIPMA)
wholeheartedly thanked all the guests and dignitaries on the dais for sparing their valuable time and attending the
conference to contribute their expertise for the benefits of the plastic industry.
The National Convention 2023 brought together distinguished National
Speakers from the industry to deliberate upon challenges and opportunities
in the Plastics recycling sector & there was rich discussions on how we
can achieve Circularity & Sustainability for plastics in India, whilst adding
to the GDP of the country and creating new jobs as well as upgrading
recycling technologies, equipment and creative financing for this emerging
segment. This Conference provided a platform for entrepreneurs,
experts, businessmen, and other stakeholders to create new livelihood
and business opportunities in the plastics sector, at the same time helping
India tackle the issue of plastic pollution and meet environmental goals.
The event facilitated the audience to understand the challenges and recent
updates made to the EPR guidelines, EPR portal upgrade related queries and clear their doubts during the Q & A session
post every panel discussion session. The event witnessed the presence of 214 delegates from various segments of plastic
industry. Exhibition was set up at the event by the industry to showcase the latest innovations, drives and developments.
In the view of providing the best of knowledge and information to the delegates present at the conference there were
three Power Packed Panel discussion sessions which included industry leading renowned panellists.
The first Panel Discussion was on New economy of Plastic: Regulatory regime and compliances which threw
light on the challenges and recent updates made to the EPR guidelines,
EPR portal upgrade related issues, the challenges of PWM 2022, the
challenges in collection and segregation of plastic waste & EPR obligation
of Producer, Importer and Brand Owners. Amongst the panellists were
Mr. Hiten Bheda, Chairman, Environment Committee who chaired the
session addressing the recent updates and issues concerning the industry
and Mr. Shailendra Singh, Member, Environment Committee, The All India
Plastics Manufacturers’ Association (AIPMA) who provided his expertise
and summarised the current industry scenario gracefully. There was
an overwhelming response by the delegates and they were provided
opportunities to ask questions, which were very-well answered by the
expert panellists.
Second session on Resource efficiency from Plastic Waste: Recycling/Energy Recovery/Waste to Oil was where all
the industry experts and aspiring individuals got the best of insights from the well established players. Briefly, in this
session the dynamic Entrepreneurs shared their experiences along with what are some of the interesting existing/
