habits, conserving resources, and promoting eco-friendly practices.
In line with this theme, a significant initiative was undertaken on June 2, 2024, at Uttan Beach. This event, held from 7
am to 9 am, was a prime example of how community-driven ef-
forts can lead to impactful environmental changes. The legacy
cleanup drive saw the participation of over 35 volunteers and
villagers, who came together to clear litter and raise awareness
about the importance of responsible plastic usage and disposal.
Organized through a collaboration between various organiza-
tions including the All India Plastic Manufacturers' Association
(AIPMA), Keshav Srushti, Stambh Foundation, Fur Future India,
and the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC), the
cleanup drive highlighted the power of partnerships in driving
environmental initiatives. Such collaborations are crucial for
amplifying the impact of local actions and fostering a sense of
community responsibility towards environmental conservation.
Tree Planting at Keshav Shrushti Campus
s part of the celebrations for World Environment Day,
a tree planting event was held at the Keshav Shrushti
Campus in Bhayandar on 5th June. The initiative fo-
cused on planting 50 fruit trees, contributing to bio-
diversity and environmental conservation. Key con-
tributions from individuals such as Ms. Priyanka Pakhare and
Ms. Riya Yadav from the AIPMA’s Environment Cell, Mr. Umesh
More from Ram Bhau Mahalgi, and Mr. Govind with his Keshav
Shrushti team, demonstrated strong community involvement and
collaboration.
World Environment Day serves as a poignant reminder of the urgent need for environmental conservation and the adoption
of sustainable practices. It encourages us to engage in activities that promote the health of our planet, such as tree plant-
ing, waste reduction, and supporting renewable energy.
By participating in events like the Uttan Beach cleanup drive and the tree planting at Keshav Shrushti, we not only con-
tribute to the cleanliness and greening of our local environments but also inspire others to take action. Each small step,
whether it is planting a tree, reducing plastic use, or advocating for sustainable policies, is crucial in building a healthier,
more sustainable world for future generations.
Together, through community efforts and individual actions, we can make a significant positive impact on our environ-
ment. Let us continue to champion eco-friendly practices and work collectively towards a sustainable future.
