AIPMA AT WORK
The Post-Inauguration session witnessed a series of dynamic keynote addresses, each delving into crucial
themes impacting the plastic industry. The session commenced with an electrifying address by Mr. Vagish
Dixit, Managing Director at ALPLA India Pvt. Ltd., who illuminated the vast opportunities within plastic
processing. Mr. Dixit underscored the importance of developing solutions and raising awareness to unlock
the full potential of plastics. He also showcased his company's unwavering commitment to the 4R's principle:
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Replace. Following Mr. Dixit's compelling presentation, Mr. Ashok Kapoor from
Kapsun Resources Corporation took the stage to discuss the future of machine manufacturers in the plastic
industry. His address shed light on the evolving landscape of this sector. The spotlight then shifted to Mr.
Chintan Mehta, Business Head at Prasad Group, who delivered an insightful keynote on upgrading auxiliary
equipment processes for recycling plants. Mr. Mehta articulated Prasad Group's ethos of achieving economy
through automation and outlined actionable steps towards realizing this vision. Rounding off the session was
Mr. Sandeep Patel, CEO of NEPRA Resource Management, whose keynote address explored the burgeon-
ing opportunities within the recycling industry. Mr. Patel's keynote provided valuable insights into the transfor-
mative potential of recycling initiatives.
The Green Horizons session at the conference delved
into the realm of sustainable practices in plastic re-
cycling, uncovering business opportunities within the
sector. Chaired by Mr. Hiten Bheda, Chairman of En-
vironment Cell at AIPMA, the session offered a com-
prehensive exploration of innovative recycling meth-
ods and their potential impact on the industry.
The session commenced with Dr. Sunder Balakrish-
nan, Director at Natur Tec India Pvt. Ltd., shedding
light on the value proposition and market drivers of
bio-polymers. Dr. Balakrishnan emphasized compost-
ing as a pivotal strategy for diverting plastics from land-
fills towards mineralization.
Following this insightful presentation, Mr. Hanumant Saraf, Vice President of Sustainability & Circular Economy
at Reliance Industries Limited, discussed the latest technologies and innovations in recycled polyethylene
(RPE) and recycled polypropylene (RPPE) of plastics.
Mr. K. A Rajesh, Joint Director & Head at CIPET: IPT – Kochi, elucidated on the certifications and standards
required for recyclates in the export market. He provided valuable information on certifications such as EFSA,
