Welcome Address – Shri Arvind Mehta, Chairman, AIPMA

Shri Mehta shared findings from the study, noting India’s 1.1% share in the $1,300 billion global plastics
market despite having over 50,000 manufacturers. The study identified opportunities to quadruple
exports within three years, potentially creating 4 million jobs. He also announced forthcoming confer-
ences in Ahmedabad and Mumbai, culminating in PlastiWorld 2025, and urged collective industry ac-
tion.

Dr. Rajneesh underscored MSMEs’ contribution of 30%
to GDP and employment for over 28 crore people. He
cited a sharp rise in MSME registrations and `6 lakh
crore in credit guarantees in two years, encouraging
formalisation to access benefits. He stated that the 4X
export target is realistic, urging stakeholders to work
towards a Viksit Bharat.

Launch of the Export Book
Following the inspiring address by our Chief Guest, Dr.
Rajneesh, Additional Secretary & Development Com-
missioner, Ministry of MSME, the much-anticipated
Export Book was officially unveiled. This landmark
publication, the result of AIPMA’s comprehensive
21-country export study, serves as a strategic road-
map to achieving the ambitious goal of quadrupling
