Dr. Desai highlighted India’s strong position as a supplier to major markets such as the USA and
Europe, with a current share of around 15%. He detailed cost advantages—lower labour, raw material,
and overall manufacturing costs—alongside the importance of global certifications, precision manu-
facturing, and green polymers. He encouraged strategic R&D investment and skill development to
address challenges like price volatility.
