Topic – Export Certifications

CIPET, a Government of India institution under
the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals,
provides skill development, technical support,
R&D, and NABL/BIS-accredited testing for
the plastics industry. The session highlighted
the need for global certifications (ISO, ASTM),
cost competitiveness through recycling, and
innovation in product design. CIPET’s facilities
enable compliance with export standards,
supporting India’s goal to become a leading
exporter of plastic products by 2030.
