Building on the Success of GCPRS, Looking Ahead to Plastivision India 2027
The successful conclusion of the 3rd Global Conclave on Plastics Recycling and
Sustainability (GCPRS) 2026 marks another significant milestone for the Indian plas-
tics industry. Held from 2–5 July 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the event
attracted 250 exhibitors from 12 countries and recorded a footfall of over 25,000
visitors, making it the largest and most successful edition of the conclave to date.
The steady growth witnessed over the past three editions reflects the increasing
importance of recycling and sustainability in shaping the future of the plastics sec-
tor.
GCPRS has evolved into much more than an exhibition. It has become a compre-
hensive platform where technology providers, recyclers, processors, policymakers
and brand owners come together to discuss emerging trends, showcase innova-
tions and explore collaborative opportunities. This year's exhibition highlighted the
rapid adoption of advanced recycling technologies and reinforced the industry's
commitment to resource efficiency and circular economy practices.
Equally important was the knowledge-sharing component of the event. The CEO
Round Table, held at the Summit Hall, the Sustainability Forum , and a series of
technical sessions provided valuable insights into policy developments, regulatory
frameworks, recycling technologies and future business opportunities. The discus-
sions reflected the industry's growing recognition that sustainability and competi-
tiveness must go hand in hand, supported by innovation, investment and collabora-
tion across the value chain.
With the successful conclusion of GCPRS, attention is now turning towards Plastivi-
sion India 2027, AIPMA's flagship exhibition, scheduled to be held in Mumbai from
21–25 January 2027. Preparations are already well underway, with a comprehen-
sive promotional programme designed to enhance international participation and
create new business opportunities for the Indian plastics industry.
Rather than organising standalone overseas exhibitions, the Plastivision team is ex-
panding its global reach through strategic partnerships with established interna-
tional trade fairs, overseas roadshows and hosted buyer programmes. Promotional
activities have already covered key markets such as Malaysia, Russia and Kenya,
while participation at leading international exhibitions and domestic promotional
campaigns across major manufacturing hubs is helping generate strong interest
among exhibitors and visitors alike. The recent success of PlastiWorld Kenya, or-
ganised by the AIPMA Export Cell, further complemented these international out-
reach efforts.
As India's plastics industry continues to expand its manufacturing capabilities and
strengthen its commitment to sustainability, platforms such as GCPRS and Plasti-
vision play an increasingly important role in connecting businesses, encouraging
technology adoption and facilitating global partnerships. Building on the momen-
tum created by GCPRS 2026, Plastivision India 2027 is expected to provide an even
larger platform for manufacturers, technology providers, processors, recyclers and
buyers from around the world, reinforcing India's position as a leading destination
for innovation, business and collaboration in the global plastics industry.
