use of them by sending proposals.
He also stressed on import substitu-
tion and increasing export of plas-
tics products.

He assured of all support to AIP-
MA and Plastic fraternity from the
Department of Chemicals and Pet-
rochemicals and welcomes any Chief Guest Shri Tejveer Singh addressing the gathering
dialogue with the industry. He also
assured that any support needed by the sector related to GST and CPCB etc. would be looked into.

He concluded by saying the future of Plastics is attractive and bright, but responsibility is the price to
be paid for opportunity and again stressed on better technology and Quality for the recycling sector.

Shri Prabh Das, MD and CEO of HMEL and Guest of honor was all praise for the DCPC for their efforts
and handling of the issue related to Plastics raw material availability during the west Asia crisis. He said
DCPC is always very supportive of the industry.

He was of the view that even without EPR, the recycling will flourish as it is good value proposition for
business. This segment is a big parallel economy. Recycling will grow. He wanted the sector to move
from informal to formal. He also said that the sector should voluntarily adopt EPR rather than being
imposed on it. He also is strong supporter of using AI in design and production and move from labor
intensive activities to higher productivity. On sustainability his company is working on starting Chemical
recycling of Plastics.

Shri Sunil Shah, President AIPMA in his inaugural address said that over the next four days, GCPRS
exhibition will showcase the latest technologies and innovations in recycling and sustainable plastics.
CEO Round Table, Sustainability Forum and Technical Knowledge sessions will provide opportunities
to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and identify practical solutions for the future.

The theme of this conclave “Building India's Plastics Circular Economy: From Compliance to Competi-
tiveness” requires partnership between industry, government, technology providers, and society. He
felt confident that the discussions and networking during this event will create new opportunities and
strengthen our collective commitment towards a cleaner and greener India.
