AIPMA again brought together the entire plastics recycling ecosystem under one roof. GCPRS is a
unique platform as it connects every stakeholder in the plastic recycling value chain recyclers, ma-
chinery manufacturers, brand owners, raw material suppliers, technology providers, EPR experts, poli-
cymakers, regulators, academia, Data Service providers and innovators to build a circular economy
           ecosystem for plastics.

Today, plastics are indispensable to modern life. The real challenge is not plastics themselves, but how
we design, use, collect, recycle, and reuse them responsibly.

Shri Tejveer Singh, Secy Petrochemical in his inaugural address lauded the impressive conclave on
such a scale and role being played by AIPMA of having focus on sustainability. He said India is one of
the largest recyclers globally but emphasized the focus to be on value addition and quality of Recy-
clates. He also reiterated that a LOGO for recycled plastic should be conceived which can change the
image of recycling. The design of material should move to more of mono-material and urgent need of
           more R&D efforts.
