AIPMA AT WORK
In his additional remarks, Mr. Mehta described Uttar Pradesh as a “rising star” and noted the emergence
of a biopolymers plant in the state. He highlighted that AIPMA is an 80-year-old association with
around 50,000 members, approximately 90% of whom are from the MSME sector. He reiterated that
modern life is inseparable from plastics and pointed out, based on AIPMA's extensive data analysis,
that India's plastics exports represent only around 1% of the global opportunity. He presented the
AIPMA extensive data analysis report on exports to the Chief Guest Sh Brijesh Pathak. He suggested
that Uttar Pradesh should consider developing a focused export group to leverage its “One District
One Product” approach.
Mr. Mehta also highlighted AIPMA's commitment to industry development through initiatives such as
GCPRS and Plastiworld, which AIPMA undertakes without financial support, and informed the gathering
about the planned fourth edition of GCPRS in Delhi. He noted that AIPMA is guided by 41 honorary
